Every property we recommend has been physically visited by a member of our team. We evaluate room quality, service standards, dining, location, and the atmosphere of a place before it ever appears in a client recommendation. We accept no paid placements or commissions from hotels — our only obligation is to you.

Absolutely. Some of our most requested itineraries are built entirely around retreat: remote ryokans, hillside villas, private beach properties with minimal programming. If solitude and calm are what you're after, we know exactly where to find them.

Our core expertise is Europe — particularly France, Spain, Switzerland, and Portugal — and Asia, with especially deep knowledge of Japan and Thailand (Bangkok and the islands). We are continuously expanding our vetted portfolio to more secluded locations.
